Samsung Galaxy S26+: Samsung, a South Korean electronics company, may soon launch a new smartphone in India. Samsung is getting ready to launch the Galaxy S26 series to the worldwide marketplace. The Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra may be part of this series.
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website offers a listing for a Samsung smartphone. This might be the Samsung Galaxy S26+, suggesting a future release in India. There were earlier reports that the company would introduce a new Galaxy S26 Edge in this series to replace the Plus model. According to reports, Samsung may have dropped this strategy in response to the Galaxy S25 Edge’s poor sales. The BIS website lists a Samsung smartphone with the model number SM-S947B/DS. This is thought to be the Samsung Galaxy S26+.

The Samsung Galaxy S26+ is being created with the same model number as the Galaxy S26 Edge, according to tipster Erencan Yilmaz (@erenylmaz075). The likelihood of the company launching a thin smartphone this year is slim. Due to the Galaxy S25 Edge’s lower-than-expected sales, the tipster claimed that the firm has chosen not to include the Edge model in the next smartphone series. A 6.7-inch QHD screen with an adjustable refresh rate of up to 120Hz is planned for the Samsung Galaxy S26+.

A 50-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera could be included in the next smartphone’s triple back camera set. It might sport a 12-megapixel front camera for taking selfies and making video calls. 256 GB and 512 GB of storage may be available for the Samsung Galaxy S26+. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600 chipset may power this smartphone. A 4,900 mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging is planned for the Samsung Galaxy S26+. Samsung intends to increase the size of its Indian manufacturing facilities. Smartphone displays may be produced at the company’s Noida, Uttar Pradesh, plant. Samsung has submitted an application to manufacture smartphone displays under the central government’s Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) program.
