OPPO Reno 14: OPPO will introduce a new wave to its Reno series as the company has announced the May 15th launch event in China. The event will witness the launch of the Reno 14 series and other products like the OPPO Pad SE and Enco Clip earbuds. OPPO has launched official teasers ahead of the formal release confirming a few of the design elements, color options, and configuration of the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro.
Design and Colors
OPPO Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro share the identical design language. They feature flat frames and contain a distinctive pill-shaped camera module with two of the lenses protruding and another sensor hidden within a pill-cutout. A typical Black and White are their color options, and the latter comes with an ornamental-looking floral pattern on White. Regular Reno 14 will also ship in Green color, and Purple will be part of the lineup for the Pro model.
Confirmed Options
OPPO has officially confirmed the RAM and storage configurations of the Reno 14 series. Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro will be available in 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB configurations. The entry-level Reno 14 will also be available in a special 16GB + 256GB configuration. These configurations provide sufficient options to cater to different storage needs.
Display and Screen Sizes
OPPO, as reported at first glance, has used a flat screen for the Reno 14 line instead of using the curved screen implemented in the previous Reno 13 series. The standard Reno 14 would be expected to carry a 6.59-inch screen, and the Pro would feature slightly more at 6.83 inches.
Battery and Charging
The Reno 14 series will be said to have a robust battery configuration, with capacity starting at 6,000mAh. The phones will also be said to support 80W fast charging, which will allow for quicker top-ups and more extended use during the day.
Anticipated Performance
Even though full specifications are yet to be announced, early reports indicate that the standard OPPO Reno 14 will feature the Dimensity 8350 chip. For comparison, the Pro variant is expected to be equipped with the more powerful Dimensity 8450 processor. This means serious performance improvements in both phones.
Future Global Availability
OPPO will likely release additional information in the weeks leading up to the May 15 launch event. Since there is no word on a global announcement, the Reno 14 series will likely be released internationally in the near future as well. The previous Reno 13 series, which launched in January, had an initial price of ₹37,999 in India, giving us a sense of the price range that the new series is expected to fall in.
