School Closed – How Many Days Are Schools ShutDown for Dussehra in 8 States? Check List

School Holidays:- The month of October is about to begin. October marks the beginning of the year’s major festivals. October marks the beginning of the Dussehra festival. Schools and government offices nationwide will be closed for several days. Children, in particular, eagerly anticipate the school holidays, as they enjoy them. These festivals are being celebrated with great enthusiasm and fanfare in various parts of the country. Many states have announced holidays for schools and government offices during this period. Let’s find out how long the school holidays will last in which states.

School Holidays in Rajasthan
All government and private schools in Rajasthan will be closed on September 30th for Durga Ashtami. Government offices will also be closed. Immediately after this, on October 2nd, a public holiday has been declared for Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti. Thus, schools and colleges in Rajasthan will be closed for three consecutive days from Tuesday to Thursday.

Holidays in West Bengal and Assam
Schools in West Bengal will be closed until October 6th due to Durga Puja. There may be slight differences in the holiday dates for government and private schools, but classes will resume after October 6th. In Assam, there will be a holiday until September 30th for Dussehra. Additionally, schools will be closed on October 2nd for Gandhi Jayanti.

School Holidays in Delhi
The Directorate of Education in Delhi has declared a school holiday from September 29th to October 1st. Private schools may experience changes in the dates.

School Holidays in Uttar Pradesh

In Uttar Pradesh, there will be a holiday on October 1st and 2nd for Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti. According to sources, in some places, schools will also be closed for Durga Ashtami. Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti is celebrated on October 7. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has declared a holiday on October 7. Government offices and banks will also be entirely closed on October 7.

Schools in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha will remain closed.

Schools in Bihar will remain closed until October 2, and in some districts, the holiday may be extended until October 5. Government schools in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, will remain closed from September 27 to October 2, and in some schools, the holiday will continue until October 5. In Odisha, schools will remain closed from September 29 to October 2.
