School holidays have been announced for Navratri and Dussehra in several districts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, and Rajasthan. So, let’s find out where schools will be closed for Navratri and Dussehra and when classes will resume after this break.

West Bengal
The Durga Puja festival is celebrated with great pomp and show in West Bengal. The Durga Puja and pandals here are extremely famous. In West Bengal, Durga Puja holidays will begin on September 24 and continue until October 6, 2025. Schools will be closed from September 24 to October 6, however, there will likely be a difference in the holidays for government and private schools.

Bihar
The Navratri Durga Puja festival is also being celebrated with great enthusiasm in Bihar. Pandals are built according to themes to worship the various forms of the Goddess. Schools in most districts of Bihar will be closed from September 27th to October 2, 2025. In some other districts, school holidays may extend until October 5th.

Odisha
Schools in Odisha will be closed from September 29th to October 2nd, 2025. This period spans from Maha Saptami to Vijayadashami.

Rajasthan
Rajasthan will have a weekly holiday on Sunday, September 28th. There will be a holiday on Maha Ashtami on September 30th, followed by Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra on October 2nd.

Uttar Pradesh
Schools in Uttar Pradesh will be closed on October 1 and 2 for Dussehra. In some areas, schools will also be closed for Durga Ashtami.
