RRB Technician Exam Date 2026: Big news for candidates applying for the RRB Technician Grade 1 and 3 Recruitment 2026. The Railway Recruitment Board has made some changes in the exam date for this recruitment. The exam for this vacancy was originally scheduled for March 5th-9th, but the date has now been changed. According to the revised notification issued by the Railways, the exam will now be held between March 6th and 13th, 2026.

This RRB Technician recruitment will be conducted for more than 6,000 posts. This includes 183 Technician Grade-I Signal posts and 6,055 Technician Grade-III posts. The exam for the candidates who have applied for this recruitment under advertisement number (CEN 02/2025) will begin on March 6th.
The exam city slip will be released on the official website approximately 10 days before the exam date. According to the official notice, the admit card will be released approximately 4 days prior to the exam.

When will the city slip and the admit card be released?
Exam city slips will be released 10 days prior to the exam date. This will allow applicants to obtain information about their exam city and prepare for their travel. The admit card for the exam will be available for download four days prior to the exam date. Candidates can download their hall ticket by entering their login details online.

Click the link at the top labelled “RRB Technician Admit Card 2026 Download.”
Enter your registration number and password.
Enter the captcha code and submit, your Technician Admit Card will appear.
Finally, download the admit card and take a printout for future use.

How will the Railway Technician exam be conducted?
This recruitment exam will consist of 100 questions from General Awareness, Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Computer Applications, Math, and Basic Science Engineering.
The majority of questions will be from Basic Science and Engineering. There will be negative marking in the exam. A mark will be deducted for each correct answer. To pass the CBT-1 paper, General candidates must score 40 per cent, OBC candidates 30 per cent, SC candidates 30 per cent, and ST candidates 25 per cent.

Recruitment Details
RRB Technician Grade 1 and 3 recruitment will fill a total of 6,238 vacant positions across various railway zones across the country. 6055 posts are reserved for Technician Grade III, and 183 posts are reserved for Technician Grade I.
