You can easily update your name and address via the online portal. To do this, you need to use the official website of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
Learn the simple process
To get started, visit the UIDAI website and open the “My Aadhaar” section. Click on the “Update Aadhaar Online” option.
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and log in using the OTP.
Now, select the “Name” or “Address” option.
Enter the new details accurately.
Upload valid documents (such as PAN, Passport, or Ration Card).
Pay the ₹50 fee and submit the form.
Upon submission, you will receive an SRN (Service Request Number), which can be used to track the status.
How to update your mobile number
For this as well, you need to go to the “Update Aadhaar Online” option.
You will be asked to complete verification via a face scan or OTP; please complete this step.
Once verification is complete, you can enter the new mobile number. Fill in any additional details if requested.
Finally, pay the required charges and submit the form.
Know the time required and applicable fees
A fee of ₹50 is charged for demographic updates (name, address, etc.).
The update process typically takes between 2 and 30 days to complete.

After the update, you can easily check your status on the UIDAI website by entering your SRN. This will let you know whether your details have been updated or not.
