Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday announced that education in government schools and colleges across the state will now be provided free of charge. Now education will be free
“To make education truly free and accessible to all, my government is announcing free education from KG to PG. This move, which is perhaps the first of its kind in the country, will be implemented in Odisha,” Majhi said.
All the students of the state will now benefit from the CM’s decision. There are many parents who are unable to pay the fees for government schools, so it is a matter of great joy for those children and their parents. The benefits will be given to families whose children cannot attend school or college due to financial constraints.

The proposal was made by the state education minister during the recent budget session, stating that education from school to college would be free. It was said that education till graduation would be given free of charge in government institutions.
