Recruitment exam to be held on October 29
According to a notification issued by NHPC, the recruitment exam will be held on October 29, 2025, at various exam centres across the country. Over 74,000 candidates have applied for this exam, against a total of 248 vacant positions. Competition is expected to be fierce. Candidates will find information regarding the exam centre and shift on the admit card.

Downloading the NHPC admit card is very easy. You can receive your admit card in just a few minutes by following the steps below:

- Click on the “Recruitment/Admit Card” link on the homepage.
- Now, log in by entering your User ID, Password, and Captcha Code.
- Your NHPC JE Admit Card 2025 will open on the screen.
- Download and print it to avoid any problems on exam day.
Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme
This exam will have a total of 200 questions, carrying 200 marks. Candidates will be given 3 hours (180 minutes) to complete the paper.
- Each correct answer will carry 1 mark.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
- The question paper will be divided into three sections:
- Questions related to technical subjects
- General knowledge and intelligence
- Reasoning and mathematical ability

A total of 248 positions will be filled by NHPC under this recruitment drive. The department-wise details of the positions are as follows:
- Assistant Official Language Officer: 11 posts
- Junior Engineer (Civil): 109 posts
- Junior Engineer (Electrical): 46 posts
- Junior Engineer (Mechanical): 49 posts
- Junior Engineer (E&C): 17 posts
- Senior Accountant: 10 posts
- Supervisor (IT): 1 post
- Hindi Translator: 5 posts
Candidates who qualify for the exam will be selected based on a written exam and document verification.
