cuet UG 2026: Major news has emerged for students appearing for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) – Undergraduate examination. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released revised admit cards for those candidates whose exams were recently postponed. Students whose exam dates have been rescheduled can now visit the official CUET portal—cuet.nta.nic.in—to download their admit cards.
According to the notification issued on the official website, the examination originally scheduled for May 28—which had been cancelled—will now be conducted on May 31 and on June 6/7, 2026. With only a few days remaining until the exams begin, students are advised to download their admit cards from the official website as soon as possible.
Admit Cards Released
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made the admit cards for the examination scheduled for May 31 available for download on the official website. Students can visit the official website—cuet.nta.nic.in—to download their hall tickets. As per the notification, admit cards for the examinations scheduled for June 6/7 will be made available for download very shortly. Currently, the hall tickets for the examination scheduled for May 31 have been released.
How to Download the Admit Card Online?
To download the admit card for the May 31 examination, visit the website cuet.nta.nic.in.
Click on “Admit Card for CUET(UG) – 2026” located under the ‘LATEST NEWS’ section.
Enter your Application Number, Password, and Security Pin.
Click on the ‘Login’ button.
Your hall ticket will now appear on the screen.
You can download it and take a printout for future reference.
Why Was the Examination Postponed?
On May 24, 2026, the NTA issued a notice stating that the CUET UG examination—originally scheduled for both shifts on May 28, 2026—had been temporarily postponed. The Board had clarified that the decision to postpone this examination was taken due to a change in the date of the Eid al-Adha (Bakrid) festival.
This postponed examination will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will be held on May 31, 2026, for which the admit cards have already been officially released. Meanwhile, the second phase will be conducted on June 6 or June 7, 2026. According to the NTA, the admit cards for students appearing for the examination on June 6 and 7 will also be released shortly.
