CBSE Board Exam 2026 Update: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting the Class 10 and 12 board exams today, February 17th. Students appearing for the Class 10 board exam on Tuesday, February 17th, will have to take the first paper, Mathematics. According to the rules, Class 10 students must reach their exam centers by 10 a.m. at all costs. Students arriving late will not be allowed to take the exam. The board has issued an important alert for students and parents during the exam period.
The CBSE has clearly stated that the news circulating on social media claiming to be a paper leak or the original paper is fake. The CBSE Board has urged students to ignore the fake news circulating on social media and focus on their exams. Do not believe any messages that may cause confusion.
It’s often seen that during the 2026 CBSE Board Exams, some people start sharing old or fake question papers on apps like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Telegram, claiming they’re from this year’s exam. The Board has clarified that strict arrangements have been put in place to ensure the safe and fair conduct of the exams. There’s no need to believe any fake news. This can not only affect your preparation but also cause unnecessary stress, leading to fear of failing the exam.
As soon as the board exams are about to begin, social media is flooded with fake question papers. Some people, either for money or to mislead students, start claiming that the papers have been leaked. Some students fall for this trap. Others, in the hope of getting higher marks, fall for their words. The Central Board of Secondary Education has clarified that all the news is completely fake and students should not fall prey to such fraud.
Will the police take action?
The Board will take strict action against those who try to disrupt the board exam environment by spreading false news. The CBSE IT team is closely monitoring social media. FIRs will be filed against those spreading rumours.
What is the dress code?
The Board has clarified that regular students must wear their school uniforms for the exam. Bringing a school ID card is mandatory. Private candidates are also advised to wear light-colored, simple clothing. Clothes with heavy embroidery, large buttons, or metal attachments should be avoided. Girls are advised not to wear any jewelry. Metal hair accessories are also prohibited.

The Board has clearly stated that mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, earphones, purses, and wallets will not be permitted inside the examination centre. Violation of the rules may result in action under unfair means.
