What Is the New Feature?
PhonePe has introduced a smart Payment Reminder and AutoPay feature in its app. It enables you to set up a reminder along with payment details such as amount, biller, and frequency. You will get a reminder on the desired date. And if you wish for complete automation, the AutoPay feature automates your payment on time without any manual intervention.
How to Set a Payment Reminder
To remind yourself, go to the PhonePe app and click on the profile icon at the top right. Go to the Settings and Preferences. Reminders is what you will see here. Click on Add Reminder and fill in all payment details like recipient, amount, and frequency (daily/weekly/monthly). Choose the date, include an optional message, and save it. You will now get a timely reminder whenever it’s time to pay that bill.
Simplify Your Bills with AutoPay
If you wish to get your monthly bills paid automatically, then PhonePe’s AutoPay feature is for you. The feature enables payments to be made hands-free while still alerting you before completing the transaction. That way, you can cancel the payment if needed.
Steps to Activate AutoPay
To enable AutoPay, open the PhonePe app and click on the profile icon. Then, go to Payment Settings and click on AutoPay Settings. Click on Manage Autopay, select your biller, and choose the card or account to be deducted (Visa, MasterCard, ICICI, etc.). Enter the amount and click. After doing so, your bills will be automatically settled before the due date.
