Yes Bank has made a significant change to its rules. In the digital age, credit cards have become a part of our daily lives. Meanwhile, Yes Bank has announced changes to its credit card rules effective April 1, 2026. This includes significant changes to transaction and spending limits.
According to Yes Bank, from April 1, 2026, utility transaction fees will now appear as utility and service transaction fees on customers’ monthly credit card statements. Under the new rules, the bank has increased the threshold limit for certain situations. These changes specifically relate to utility bill payments, transportation transactions, and loading money into third-party digital wallets.

Has this spending limit also increased?
Now, when you pay for bills like electricity, water, gas, or internet with your Yes Bank credit card, one of the largest banks in the country, this fee will appear on your credit card statement as a utility service transaction fee. The bank has also increased the spending limit after which this fee will be applicable.
Furthermore, fees will now be charged only after higher utility expenses are incurred on these cards. The spending limit on Yes Private credit cards has now been increased to ₹1 lakh, up from ₹50,000 previously. Similarly, the spending limit on MARQUEE/RESERV credit cards has been increased to ₹50,000, up from ₹25,000 previously. The spending limit on other retail credit cards has now been increased to ₹25,000, up from ₹15,000 previously.

Toll and bridge-related transactions will now appear as a transportation fee on credit card statements. A 1% charge and GST will apply to these expenses. If the monthly total spend exceeds the prescribed limit, this fee will be limited to a maximum of ₹5,000 per transaction.
