JoSAA Counselling 2026: JoSAA has released the seat allotment result of the first round of counselling. Candidates who have joined JoSAA Counselling can check their allotment result through the official website josaa.nic.in using their JEE Main or Advanced login details. Josa Counseling 2026 is conducted for those candidates who want to get admission in BTech program in government-funded technical institutes, so these include IIT, NIT, IIIT and other government-funded technical institutes.
Portal to remain open till June 26
Candidates who have been allotted seats in the first round must complete the required online reporting process. The portal for online reporting will remain open till June 26. The process includes paying the seat acceptance fee, uploading the necessary documents and answering questions from the verification authorities.
Josa Counselling Round-1 Cutoff
In Josa Counselling Round-1, IIT Bombay’s BTech CSE’s closing rank was 65. Meanwhile, IIT Delhi’s closing rank was 123 and IIT Madras’s 149. About two lakh students have filled more than 27 million 53 choices. The counseling is being conducted for admission in more than 67000 seats of 138 engineering colleges including 23 IITs, IIST Shibpur, 31 NITs, 26 IIITs and 56 GFTIs. There will be a total of six rounds of JOSA Counseling 2026. There will be five normal rounds and one additional round.
The seat acceptance fee must be submitted
Candidates are advised to submit their seat acceptance fee on or before June 26. Without it, the seat will not be booked. JoSAA has set a resolution window from June 29, 2026, to address any payment-related issues or irregularities. Seat allotment in Round 2 will start on June 30, 2026 and will continue as per the official schedule.
