PF Balance Checking New Method
PF Balance Checking New Method

Many people face problems while checking PF balance on the portal of Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). The passbook is not visible due to server down, login error, lack of KYC or technical problems. But don’t worry, you can know your PF balance without internet by just sending an SMS or a missed call.

Why is the PF balance not visible on the portal?

Although the EPF passbook portal is usually working properly, the balance may not be visible due to several reasons. For example, server overload or maintenance, incorrect login or password problem, incomplete Aadhaar, PAN or bank KYC, technical glitches. Due to this, it is difficult to open the passbook at times.

Two easy ways to check PF balance

1. Know the balance by sending SMS

  1. It is most important that your UAN number is active and linked to Aadhaar-PAN-bank account.
  2. Then send from your registered mobile number:
  3. EPFOHO UAN ENG
  4. Recipient number: 7738299899
  5. Here you can give three letters of the language of your choice in place of ENG, Bengali: BEN, Hindi: HIN, Tamil: TAM, Telugu: TEL
  6. The service is available in many other languages.
  7. After sending the SMS, EPFO will send you your PF balance information.

2. Get the balance by giving a missed call

  • This service is available only if your UAN is active and KYC is updated.
  • Give a missed call from your registered mobile number: 011-22901406
  • The call will be disconnected after two rings and your PF balance will be sent via SMS within a few moments.

Necessary tasks before checking the balance

  1. To use PF services easily, it is important to complete a few tasks first
  2. Activate UAN: Register and activate UAN by visiting the EPFO portal.
  3. Update KYC: It is mandatory to link Aadhaar, PAN and bank account with your UAN.
  4. Keep mobile number updated: Keep your current mobile number linked with UAN.

 About Missed call service

  • You can also check your PF balance through just a missed call, but first check that your UAN number is active and your KYC details have been updated.

  • The call will be disconnected automatically after two rings and you will receive an SMS containing your PF balance details.

Complete this task before checking the balance
