Waiting Ticket Rules have been changed, Know the new update of railways

Waiting Ticket Rules: Big update for train passengers. Every day more than 2.5 crore passengers travel by train in India. Let us tell you that this number of passengers is equal to the population of a country like Australia. Passengers traveling by train have the option of traveling in reservation or unreserved coach. Generally, passengers prefer to travel by train through reservation. In which they get the facility to travel in AC coach and sleeper coach.

Many times after making reservations, people’s tickets go into waiting list. And they get to know only a few hours before the day of travel whether their ticket is confirmed or not. In such a situation, they have to face a lot of trouble. But now Indian Railways has found a solution to this. Let us tell you that the Railways has now decided to change the rules regarding the waiting list.

You will know several hours in advance whether you will get a seat or not

Let us tell you that Indian Railways has now decided to implement a new rule regarding the waiting ticket timing. At present, people get to know the status of ticket confirmation 4 hours in advance. Now it will be known 24 hours in advance. Let us tell you that this pilot project has been started by the Railways at Bikaner Railway Station in Rajasthan as a trial run. Which has also been successful. According to the information received from the Railways, this will soon be implemented in the rest of the country as well.

The final chart of a train is prepared by the Indian Railways 4 hours before its departure. That is, if someone has a waiting list ticket for a train, he will not know until the day of travel whether he can travel in the train or not. In such a situation, the passenger is unable to choose any other option. For example, he misses the option of traveling by bus or cab.

But if confirmation regarding waiting tickets is received from Indian Railways 24 hours in advance, whether the ticket is confirmed or not, then passengers will have time to choose bus or any other alternative means of travel. On the suggestion of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, the trial run of this rule was started by the Railways on Bikaner Division. The result of which has been very good. Now soon it can be implemented on other major routes of the country including Delhi, Bihar, Bengal and Mumbai.
