How to get your Aadhaar number back

If your mobile number is linked to Aadhaar:

First of all, visit the official website of UIDAI https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/retrieve-eid-uid.

Decide whether you want to retrieve the Aadhaar number (UID) or enrolment ID (EID).

Fill in the details like your full name (as in Aadhaar), registered mobile number or email ID etc.

Fill in the captcha code and click on ‘Send OTP’.

Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile/email and complete the verification.

After successful verification, you will receive UID or EID by SMS. This service is free.

What to do if the mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar

If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, you can still get your Aadhaar details:

Visit your nearest Aadhaar enrolment or update center.

There, give the operator your name, gender, district or pin code, etc. details.

Your biometric verification (fingerprint/iris scan) will be done.

If the details match, the operator will give you a print of the e-Aadhaar. You will be charged ₹30 for this.
