There are many schemes for the benefit of women. This time, the Narendra Modi government is going to bring another scheme. ‘Bima Sakhi Yojana’ is being launched.
This scheme will be launched on Monday, December 9 at the ‘Bikash Bharat’ event in Panipat, Haryana. This scheme is mainly for rural women. Women will have to work as Bima Sakhi agents of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). Job and employment opportunities for women in rural areas are generally very limited. As a result of this government initiative, women will get the opportunity to become self-reliant. After enrolling in this scheme, women will get seven thousand rupees every month.
Those who enroll in this scheme will get seven thousand rupees every month in the first year. It will reduce to six thousand rupees every month in the second year. They will get five thousand rupees every month in the third year. In addition, they can get up to twenty thousand rupees every month. Commission-based rewards will also be given for meeting the insurance target.
In the first phase of the project, 35,000 women will be recruited as insurance agents. The Modi government is planning to include 50,000 more women in this project in the future. Initially, this project is being launched only in Haryana. Gradually, it will be launched across the country. Any young woman or woman between the ages of 18 and 50 can enroll in this project. The required educational qualification is to be a Madhyamik pass.
