Train Diversion: More Than 40 Trains to Run on Changed Routes in May, Vande Bharat Express Also Effected

Train Diversion Update: Passengers planning to travel by train in May should be cautious. Due to non-interlocking work at Jaunpur Junction in Uttar Pradesh, numerous trains have been rerouted. This work is part of a yard remodeling project aimed at enhancing train speed and operations in the future, but it is currently causing some disruptions. Over 40 trains, including the Vande Bharat Express, have been impacted. Some trains have been diverted, certain station stops have been eliminated, and a few trains have been partially cancelled. If you are traveling in May, make sure to check train information ahead of time to avoid any last-minute issues.

What is causing the train disruptions?

Yard improvement work is taking place at Jaunpur Junction (Lucknow Division). This involves both pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking tasks. Once this work is finished, train operations will be more efficient and quicker, but for now, adjustments have been made to train services. As a result, Indian Railways has rerouted several trains, reduced stops at some stations, and altered the starting and ending points for certain trains.
