Women’s Employment Scheme: The Bihar government is continuously taking initiatives to empower women financially. Under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, the state government will transfer the first installment of ₹10,000 each to the accounts of 10 lakh Jeevika Didis by December 14th. This amount will help women start their own businesses and become self-reliant. To date, the benefits of this scheme have reached approximately 14 million women in the state, demonstrating its widespread success.
Economic Empowerment Initiative for Women
The government says that the funds will be transferred to the bank accounts of all eligible women by the stipulated date. The state leadership believes that this financial assistance will improve women’s living standards and help them start jobs of their choice. This initiative will not only increase women’s income sources but also empower them in society.
Large financial provisions to boost employment
The scheme aims to provide financial support to one woman in every family, enabling her to start her own small business or work of choice. The first installment is ₹10,000. Once a woman starts employment and her situation is assessed, additional financial assistance of up to ₹2 lakh can be provided as needed. This facility greatly helps women expand their businesses.
Why is this scheme beneficial?
Increasing women’s economic participation strengthens the state’s economy. When women become self-reliant, family income increases and new employment opportunities develop locally. This is why the government is implementing this scheme in a mission mode.
