Silver Price Drop: Gold and silver prices are fluctuating daily. Gold rates are changing very rapidly. On Wednesday, a sudden sharp drop was seen in Gold-Silver rates. Now, the price of 1 kg of silver has fallen by more than Rs 5000. Along with silver, the price of gold has also fallen, becoming cheaper by more than Rs 1100. On Wednesday, the third trading day of this week, the futures price of silver with a March 5th expiry on the Multi-Commodity Exchange opened higher than its previous closing price of Rs 2,58,811 per kilogram and reached a new high of Rs 259,692. However, silver has become cheaper by up to Rs 5,622 per kg.

In just the first two trading days of this week, the futures price of 1 kg of silver had increased by Rs 20,000. But on Wednesday, a significant drop was recorded in the price of silver.

Mumbai: The price of 1 kg of silver is Rs 2,53,100.
Delhi: The price of 1 kg of silver is Rs 2,53,100.
Kolkata: The price of 1 kg of silver is Rs 2,53,100.
Bengaluru: The price of 1 kg of silver is Rs 2,53,100.
Hyderabad: The price of 1 kg of silver is Rs 2,53,100.
Kerala: The price of 1 kg of silver is Rs 2,53,100.
Pune: The price of 1 kg of silver is Rs 2,53,100.
Ahmedabad: The price of 1 kg of silver is Rs 2,53,100.

Several reasons are being cited for the current fluctuations in silver prices. This rally, which began in August, saw prices rise from approximately $45 in October to over $80 by December 2025, creating a pronounced upward trend in the market. According to an Augmont report, government decisions regarding global supply, rising geopolitical tensions, and economic uncertainty have driven investors toward safe-haven assets such as silver.
