In it, she wrote, “The Delhi government has decided to declare November 25, 2025, a public holiday on the auspicious occasion of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.”

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that Guru Sahib’s message of courage, compassion, and religious freedom will always inspire us. In another post, the Chief Minister said that on this auspicious occasion of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, Delhi is fully prepared to once again enshrine his immortal message on the pinnacle of time.

Public holiday means that all government and private schools, colleges and educational institutions will also remain closed on this day. The Chief Minister said that this grand three-day gathering at the Red Fort is a reminder of history and a symbol of our national consciousness and unwavering commitment to human values. Let us all pay homage to Guru Sahib, who taught humanity that defending truth is the greatest courage.
