An official noted that the benefits under the Maiya Samman Yojana had been delayed for two months—January and February. To address this during the festive season, the government has decided to deposit the assistance for January, February, and March, totaling Rs 7,500.
Questions from both sides of the aisle
It’s worth mentioning that both opposition and ruling party members were raising questions about the installment of the Maiya Samman Yojana. On Friday, JMM MLA Mangal Kalindi inquired about when the beneficiaries would receive their payments. Additionally, on February 27, the opposition criticized the government in the House for the delays in disbursing funds under the scheme.
