Ration From ATM – Big news for Ration Card holders. There’s no longer a need to visit a ration shop to collect rations from the public distribution system. Ericsson launched a ration ATM at the Mobile Congress on Wednesday, which was presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This ATM machine’s specialty is that it operates through biometrics and is capable of dispensing 25-30 kilograms of ration at a time.
Suppose a person’s quota is 15 kilograms, the machine will inform them that they can take up to 15 kilograms. If they only want five kilograms at that time, they can take the remaining ration later at their convenience. They will be able to collect their ration from a ration ATM anywhere in the country. The state government is contacting companies to install such ATMs.
Ration ATMs will be installed in these states
The government has installed such ATMs in several cities in states like Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. Ration ATM machines have been installed in cities like Varanasi, Gorakhpur, and Ahmedabad. According to the company, each machine has a capacity of up to 500 kilograms. Ration is dispensed from the machine in just 30 seconds.
You will be able to get ration from anywhere while sitting at home
Because of its biometric Aadhaar linkage, anyone can collect their rations anywhere, and the government will also be able to track how much ration each person has collected. This facility will be available 24 hours a day. There will be no need to wait for the shop to open to collect rations. Grains like rice, wheat, and pulses can be distributed through this machine. The government currently provides free rations to more than 800 million people.
