Ration Reform: Centre to Send Cash to Bank Accounts Instead of Rice and Wheat, Check Eligibility

A big change is coming in the ration distribution system of the Indian government. Till now, the common man used to get food grains like rice and wheat from ration shops. Now, a big change is going to come in that system. The center will directly transfer money to the bank instead of rice and wheat. This is what is being heard.

If the new rules are implemented, the ration card holders themselves will decide whether they will take food grains or exchange it for money. The main basis of this new system will be modern technology. In collaboration with SBI, the government has created a special digital voucher called e-rupee.

The entire ration distribution process will be completed through this special digital voucher. However, it has not been launched in the country yet. It has been launched as a pilot project in some places on an experimental basis. It has been launched in Chandigarh, Puducherry, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and some places in Maharashtra.

It has been reported that this change is being made for several reasons. This step has been taken to cancel fake ration cards. Since the launch of this experimental system, 76,363 duplicate cards have been detected. Similarly, if this system is implemented, it is said that ration theft, black marketing, and brokering will be stopped.

From now on, e-vouchers of a certain amount will be sent to the registered mobile numbers of ration card holders every month. The amount of money will be fixed based on the number of family members, such as 500 taka or 1000 taka. You can go to the ration shop with this voucher and get food grains. If you want, you can redeem it and get the money directly in your bank account.
