Rajasthan Budget 2026 Update: Bhajan Lal’s government has presented the budget for the financial years 2026 and 2027. In this budget, the government emphasised youth self-reliance, economic development of farmers, and strengthening the education system. The government presented it as an inclusive budget. Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumar also announced significant benefits for students.
Presenting the budget in the Assembly, Diya Kumari made a surprising announcement for meritorious students in grades 10 and 12. High school and intermediate students will be provided with e-vouchers worth ₹20,000 to purchase tablets or laptops. This will also provide students with access to digital education. The Rajasthan government’s major initiative in the field of education is being considered significant.

Students will be able to learn several foreign languages.
The government has also taken a new step in skill development to provide youth with international employment opportunities. Now, young people pursuing careers in the hospitality and tourism sectors will also be trained in foreign languages such as English, Japanese, French, German, and Korean.
For this, the government is planning to implement the “Outcome-Based Skill Impact Model” for the first time. Vocational programs will be introduced in 500 new government schools from the upcoming session. Students will be able to develop skills alongside their schooling. The aim is to ensure that youth are not only employment-ready but also globally competitive.

What did the Finance Minister say?
Diya Kumar, Finance Minister of the Rajasthan Government, stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the core mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,” the government is working tirelessly. The government aims to advance the state towards economic prosperity, sustainable development, and inclusive progress. The state government has taken major steps to reach all sections of society.
A bounty on farmers is also open.
The Rajasthan government has announced a major gift for farmers in its budget. The government has announced interest-free loans worth ₹25,000 crore, recruitment in agricultural schools, and Mission Raj GIFT. This has provided significant relief to over 3.5 million farmers in the state, setting a target of distributing interest-free short-term loans worth ₹25,000 crore.
The government will provide an interest subsidy of ₹800 crore. Furthermore, to enrich agricultural education, vacant positions in universities will be filled in a phased manner. The recruitment process for 445 vacant positions will begin this year.
Mission Raj GIFT will also be established to ensure farmers receive better prices for their crops. Additionally, infrastructure and capacity development will be undertaken in the markets.
