Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana scheme in 2016. Through this scheme, LPG connections are provided to rural and underprivileged families completely free of cost. PM Ujjwala Yojana 3.0 online application has started. Now you can apply for gas online.
How to apply for gas under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana? What documents are required, what are the application conditions? Which portal should I visit to apply online? Details have been given in today’s report.

1. The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
2. The applicant must be an adult female (at least 18 years of age).

3. No other member of the family should have previously received LPG under the Ujjwala Yojana. That is, the same family should not have any other LPG connection from any Oil Marketing Company (OMC).
4. The adult female must come from a family below the poverty line and must submit a deprivation declaration as per the prescribed format.

What are the documents required to apply for the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana?
1. KYC application form.
2. Identity proof (copy of the applicant’s Aadhaar card).

3. Address proof – if the address mentioned in the Aadhaar card is different from the current address.
(If the applicant is a migrant, then self-declaration as per Annexure-I is required.)

4. Ration card issued by the State Government (from the State from which the application is being made)
5. Aadhaar card copies of the applicant and all adult members of the family.

6. Bank account details (copy of passbook/cancelled cheque).
7. Deprivation Declaration.

What are the benefits of applying for the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana:
The central government provides cash assistance for PMUY gas connection, the applicant does not have to pay this money –
- 14.2 kg cylinder: Rs 2050
- 5 kg cylinder: Rs 1300
- This assistance covers the following expenses—
- Cylinder security deposit (1700 / 950)
- Pressure regulator (150)
- LPG hose pipe (100)
- Consumer card (25)
- Installation/demo/inspection charge (75)
Additional benefits:
All PMUY beneficiaries will get the first gas refill (gas filling) and stove (hotplate) completely free. These will be provided by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Online Application Process
1) First you have to come to the official portal of PMUY, you can also come directly to the official portal by clicking on the link below.
2) Then click on Apply for New Ujjwala PMUY Connection here on the home page of PMUY.

3) Then on the next page, click on the Online Portal text and select the company HP / Indane / Bharat – the gas cylinder you need and register and apply.
4) While applying, upload all the information and documents and submit the application. Then if the application is approved, the gas distributor will call and provide gas. Also, after applying, contact the gas office.
