To get rid of the electricity bill, the central government has started the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme.

While you will get electricity for 24 hours, the bill will also become zero. Meaning, you will get only benefits by joining the scheme. Due to the big benefits of the scheme, it has become very popular, so there will be no problem.

So far, solar panels are being installed on more than 10 lakh roofs across the country under this scheme. If you want to join the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, then you will be able to get the benefit of a subsidy. You can see below how much subsidy is being given on this scheme.

The government is giving a bumper subsidy.

If you get solar panels installed under the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, then you can also avail bumper subsidy. In this, you get up to 300 units of electricity for free. If you are going to install a solar panel of up to 2 kW, then a huge subsidy will be given. The central government is giving a subsidy of up to Rs 30,000 for up to 2 kW.

Similarly, if you are going to install a solar panel of up to 3 kW, then a subsidy of Rs 48,000 is being given. If, for some reason, you install a solar plant of more than 3 kW, then a subsidy of Rs 78,000 will be given under this scheme. As soon as you install the plant under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, the tension of electricity will end immediately.

How much electricity is consumed every day

By installing a solar plant, you will get rid of the electricity bill. If 2-3 fans, a fridge, 6-8 LED lights, AC and TV-like electrical appliances are used in your house, then 8 to 10 units of electricity will be required every day. In such a situation, you can get a solar panel of 2 kW capacity installed on the roof of your house. You will have to select the solar panel yourself.
