LPG Price- Will LPG to become more expensive from April 1? Check Now

LPG Price April: The central government has taken a definitive and strong position regarding the rumors about a potential nationwide lockdown due to the Iran war. Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri firmly asserted that any speculation about a nationwide lockdown is entirely unfounded. He emphasized that the government is not considering such a proposal and that there is no need for the public to panic. While the government is keeping an eye on the situation, there are currently no plans for a nationwide lockdown.

Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri firmly stated that there are no intentions for a lockdown in India and that these rumors are completely untrue. In a post on social media, he mentioned that spreading such rumors is irresponsible and instills unnecessary fear in the public. The government is diligently monitoring the situation and is fully equipped to handle any developments.

The government has made it clear that despite the ongoing global circumstances, there is no shortage of fuel or essential goods in the country. According to the ministry, India has ample oil and gas reserves, and supplies for the next 60 days have already been secured. Additionally, India now imports crude oil from over 41 countries, significantly reducing the impact of any disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.

Oil companies have also increased their readiness. Petrol pump owners are now receiving more credit than before to ensure that there is no shortage of petrol and diesel under any circumstances. The government asserts that India is also a petroleum product exporter, so there is no need for a “national energy emergency” at this moment.

Is there going to be a lockdown in India?

No, the central government has clearly indicated that there is no plan to implement a nationwide lockdown. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has dismissed this as a rumor and has encouraged people to disregard such news.

Similarly, on April 1, 2024, the price of a cylinder was reduced by Rs 31. In Delhi, the price of a commercial cylinder was reduced to Rs 1,765 on April 1, 2024. April 2023 also brought relief to commercial cylinder consumers, with the price in Delhi falling by Rs 92 to Rs 2,028. On March 1, 2023, this cylinder was priced at Rs 2,119.50 in Delhi.

Will there be relief or disaster on April 1, 2026?

Given the current situation, there’s little hope for relief this time. Crude oil and gas prices remain high due to the Iran-Israel war. Fuel prices have already become more expensive in many countries around the world. Therefore, it shouldn’t be surprising if LPG consumers face a setback on April 1, 2026. However, looking at the trend, LPG prices have been on the brink of success.
