PM Kisan Yojana: The central government is running the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi with the aim of doubling the income of millions of farmers in the country. This scheme provides financial assistance to farmers. Meanwhile, the central government has announced significant relief for farmers. The central government has stated that if farmers in border states do not have farming documents, they will still benefit from the PM Kisan scheme. However, the condition is that the state government must confirm that they are indeed farmers.
Millions of farmers across the country have already benefited from 20 installments of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi . Millions of farmers across the country are eagerly awaiting the 21st installment. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, farmers receive financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually. This money is released to farmers in three installments throughout the year, each of which carries Rs 2,000. Three installments are released annually.
Farmers of these states will get the money first
Typically, when funds are released for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, they are deposited simultaneously into the accounts of all farmers across the country. However, this time, it is expected that flood-affected states may receive the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi installment first. In fact, the central government recently indicated that the next installment would be released soon. In early September, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after reviewing flood and other disaster-affected areas of Himachal and Punjab, promised to release an advance installment of the scheme.
Until now, to benefit from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme, ownership of agricultural land was required. Relevant documents are essential. However, farmers in border states may receive significant relief. Many farmers in border areas have been farming for years, but lack land documents. This is why they were unable to benefit from this scheme.
Now the government has partially relaxed this requirement. This means that even farmers without ownership papers can now benefit from the scheme if the state government proves they are actually farmers.
When can the 21st installment be released?
A total of 20 installments have been released under the PM Kisan Yojana so far, and now it’s the turn of the 21st installment. Under the rules, each installment of this scheme is released approximately every four months. Accordingly, the four-month period for the 21st installment is ending in November. However, flood-affected states may receive funds sooner.
Benefit from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, it is crucial for farmers to complete e-KYC. Without this, their installment payments could be delayed. For this, e-KYC can be done online using OTP. Alternatively, you can also go to your nearest CSC center and complete biometric KYC.
