PM Kisan Yojana: Millions of farmers are eagerly anticipating the 23rd installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Through this initiative, the government deposits Rs 6,000 annually into farmers’ bank accounts in three equal payments. Up to now, 22 installments have been disbursed. If farmers do not fulfill specific essential requirements to qualify for the 23rd installment, they will not receive it.
Millions of farmers are looking forward to the 23rd installment of the PM Kisan Yojana. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the government transfers three equal payments of Rs 2,000 to farmers’ bank accounts. To date, farmers have received 22 installments. On March 13, 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the 22nd installment from Guwahati, Assam.
As per media reports, the 23rd installment is expected to be released by July 2026. This year, the government will again transfer Rs 6,000 to farmers’ accounts in three installments. However, if you haven’t completed certain documentation, you will not receive the 23rd installment.
Farmers who have not yet completed their e-KYC must do so in two ways. According to government regulations, you can complete your e-KYC online using an OTP on the PM Kisan portal from the comfort of your home, or you can finish your biometric e-KYC at a nearby Common Service Center.
Moreover, linking your bank account with your Aadhaar card is crucial for the installment to be credited to your account. If your Aadhaar number is not connected to your bank account, the installment may be delayed. Farmers must also have their land verified. Those who have not completed this process will not receive the next installment of the PM Kisan Yojana.
Two individuals from the same family cannot take advantage of this scheme. This means that if two family members have applied for this scheme, neither will receive the installment. In such cases, the government can promptly halt your installment.
Farmers will also be unable to benefit from this scheme in several other cases. The government has stated that if they purchased land after February 1, 2019, they will not be eligible for this scheme. Under this scheme, the government provides three installments in different months: the first installment in April, the next in July, and the third in December.
The 23rd installment will also be released soon. You can check whether this installment has been credited to your account by visiting the PM Kisan Yojana website. First, go to Farmer Corner and click on “Know Your Status.” After entering your registration number and Aadhaar number, fill in the captcha and click on “Get Status.”
