The beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi) are eagerly waiting for the 20th instalment. It will be transferred to the farmers’ bank accounts very soon. However, the government has clearly said that to receive this instalment, farmers must complete some important tasks on time.

What is PM Kisan Yojana?

PM Kisan Yojana is a scheme for farmers. Under this scheme, farmers get ₹6,000 every year.
This money is sent directly to their bank accounts in three parts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

The government said on social media:

“The future of farmers is safe. India’s farming is growing. To get the 20th instalment, finish some important work today.”

What Should Farmers Do to Get the 20th Instalment?

1. Do e-KYC

  • Farmers must do e-KYC to get the money.
  • You can do OTP-based e-KYC on the PM Kisan website.
  • For fingerprint (biometric) e-KYC, go to your nearest CSC (Common Service Centre).

2. Link Aadhaar with Bank Account

  1. Your Aadhaar number must be linked to your bank account.
  2. If not, you will not get the money.

3. Check Bank Details

  • Make sure your bank account number and IFSC code are correct.
  • If the details are wrong, the money will not come.

4. Fix Land Record Problems

  • If your land records have any mistakes, go to local officers and fix them.
  • Wrong land records can stop your payment.

5. Check Your Name in the List

  • Go to www.pmkisan.gov.in to:
  • Check if your name is in the list
  • See old payments
  • Check application status

6. Update Mobile Number

  • If your mobile number is old or wrong, you will not get OTP or messages.
  • Update your number to stay informed.

How to Update Mobile Number?

  1. Go to the PM Kisan website: https://pmkisan.gov.in
  2. Click on ‘Farmer Corner’
  3. Click on ‘Update Mobile Number’
  4. Enter your Aadhaar or registration number
  5. Fill the captcha and click ‘Submit’
  6. Follow the steps to change your number

When Will the 20th Instalment Come?

As per news reports, PM Modi may visit Motihari, Bihar on July 18. He may release the 20th PM Kisan instalment on that day. But the government has not confirmed this date officially.
