PM Internship Scheme 2025: Government will ensure financial support and opportunity to get work experience – know in detail

If you want to gain work experience in a good company after completing your studies to get a good job, then the Central Government has brought a big opportunity for you. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has started the ‘Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme 2025’. Under this scheme, youth from all over the country get an opportunity to learn work in the country’s top companies for one year i.e. 12 months. During this period, the government also provides financial assistance to every intern.

This scheme has been launched to provide youth with real-life work experience. Its goal is to bridge the gap between education and industry requirements, making it easier for youth to find jobs. The government aims to provide internship opportunities at the top 500 companies to 10 million youth across the country over the next five years. This internship will last 12 months (1 year), with at least 6 months of this time spent in a real work environment, meaning there will be no classroom training.

What are the benefits of PM Internship Scheme?

  • 12 months of real work experience in big companies of the country.
  • Financial assistance of Rs 4500 per month from the government and Rs 500 per month from the company.
  • One-time additional assistance of Rs 6000 (for incidentals).
  • Every intern gets insurance coverage, which will include Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
  • The monthly amount will be given for the entire 12 months and the grant of Rs 6000 will be sent directly to the bank account at the time of joining.

Who can apply for PM Internship Scheme India?

  • The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
  • Age should be between 21 to 24 years.
  • The applicant should not be engaged in full-time employment or regular studies.
  • Students pursuing online or distance learning can apply.
  • Education Qualification: High School or Intermediate Pass, ITI or Polytechnic Diploma, or Graduate (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Pharma etc.).
  • The annual income of the family should be less than Rs 8 lakh.
