Why is it necessary to update PAN card photo?
The purpose of updating photo in PAN card is to provide seamless and secure identity verification. Clear and current photographs play a very important role in proving identity while carrying out various financial transactions like opening a bank account, loan application or financial transactions. Many entities depend on accurate information about the concerned individuals to process the application.
An old or poor quality photograph makes it difficult to identify a person, which can lead to delays or complications in filing taxes, obtaining refunds or for other official documentation purposes. Also, an updated photograph reduces the chances of fraud or misidentification of the person linked to the PAN card as he can be identified very easily.
