MGNREGA Scheme: MGNREGA, which stands for the Mongolian Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, is now being renamed to the Pujya Bapu Gramin Rojgar Guarantee Scheme (PBNREGA) by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet. Additionally, the employment guarantee period is being extended from 100 days to 125 days. This means that individuals in rural areas who need work will now have access to 125 days of employment instead of just 100.
These important changes will take effect once the bill is introduced in Parliament. However, it’s been mentioned that the application process will remain as straightforward as it has been in the past.
