This setup has been created to ease the challenges people encounter when traveling to the headquarters for public hearings. Now, for weddings, religious ceremonies, or other important needs, individuals can reach out to the Tehsildar or Supply Inspector/Regional Food Officer in their respective tehsil to apply.
This will make it easier to access cylinders. Toll-free numbers 01222304834, 01222304835, and 1077 have been provided for lodging complaints. Citizens can use these numbers to voice their concerns. The District Supply Officer in Hapur has encouraged the public to take advantage of these provisions to address their issues.
It was reported that previously, to apply for a cylinder, one had to submit an Aadhaar card and a marriage certificate along with the application form at the District Supply Officer’s office. Now, in response to public concerns, a committee has been formed at the tehsil level, and a control room has also been set up. District Magistrate Abhishek Pandey stated that organizers can apply for cylinders before weddings, religious, and social events. Previously, this required a trip to the district headquarters, but now the system has been implemented at the tehsil level, and helpline numbers have been issued to facilitate the public.
Meanwhile the demand for auto LPG has suddenly increased significantly in Karnataka these days. This is because more than 300 private LPG pumps in Bengaluru and many parts of the state have either closed or are partially operating. This is causing significant inconvenience to residents. In response to this situation, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has taken a significant step. The company has significantly increased the supply of auto LPG throughout Karnataka to ensure that auto rickshaws and LPG-powered vehicles do not face fuel shortages.
