LPG Cylinder Prices on April 11: The outbreak of a fierce conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran had disrupted crude oil supplies to numerous countries, and the impact of this disruption had begun to be felt by the general public. Prices for both domestic and commercial LPG cylinders had started to soar in the black market. Now, following a two-week ceasefire, Iran has reopened the Strait of Hormuz.

Consequently, the import of crude oil across various nations is expected to increase. Just a few days ago, adjustments were made to the prices of domestic LPG cylinders, while rates for commercial cylinders also underwent revision. Meanwhile, India’s Union Defence Minister stated that the government is actively working to ensure the uninterrupted availability of LPG, petrol, and diesel.

Furthermore, Rajnath Singh noted that over the past 40 days, India has successfully facilitated the safe passage of more ships through the Strait of Hormuz than any other nation.

How Much Have LPG Cylinder Prices Increased?

Amidst disruptions in LPG supply, the Central Government has decided to hike the prices of both domestic and commercial LPG cylinders. Notably, in March, the price of a standard 14.2-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder was raised by 60 rupees. Since that adjustment, no further changes have been made to domestic LPG prices.

As a result, domestic LPG prices have remained stable across the country. Conversely, the price of a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder was initially raised by 144 rupees in March. Subsequently, on April 1, an additional hike of approximately 200 rupees was recorded. This has led to increased operational costs for restaurants, hotels, and other commercial establishments.
