Now checking your PF balance has become very easy. With the new system from EPFO, you can check your PF balance in a few simple steps.

The fastest and easiest way is to give a missed call. You don’t need internet or a smartphone app for this. It is best for people who are not used to online methods. However, your mobile number must be linked with your UAN. If not, you can link it by visiting the EPFO portal and activating your UAN.

To check your balance, give a missed call to 9966044425 from your registered mobile number. The call will end automatically after one or two rings. Soon after, you will receive an SMS from EPFO. The message will show your current balance and the last amount deposited.

Other Easy Ways to Check PF Balance

You can also check your PF balance by sending an SMS. Send an SMS to 7738299899 from your mobile number linked with UAN. Type EPFOHO UAN ENG in the message box. Once you send it, you will receive an SMS from EPFO with your current PF balance and the last deposited amount details.

Furthermore, you can also check your PF account and interest details on the EPFO website. Go to https://passbook.epfindia.gov.in/. Enter your UAN and password and fill in the captcha in order to login. You will see all the company names you worked with. Select your company to be able to see your balance. You will see how much money you and your company have deposited, the amount in the pension scheme, and the interest that has been added every year.

Another straightforward method is via the UMANG application itself. You can obtain this app through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Once you have downloaded it, you can log in using your mobile number and set a PIN. You will then search for “EPFO” in the app itself. From the EPFO section of the app, you will be able to see your passbook, or withdraw money if you want. All that you have to do is click on “View EPF Passbook”, enter your UAN, and you will get an OTP sent to your phone. Once you enter the OTP, you will be able to see the details of your full passbook.
