Kapas Kisan App: Haryana’s cotton-producing farmers have received some welcome news. The state government has launched a mobile app called “Kapas Kisan” for their convenience. Through this app, farmers will be able to easily sell their crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP), without the hassle of lengthy procedures or middlemen.

How the app works

The “Kapas Kisan” app has been developed to simplify and streamline the entire sales process for farmers. This app will help farmers verify and verify information related to their crops. Farmers will be able to compare the data entered on their “Meri Fasal Mera Byora” portal with this app. They will then be able to book slots to sell their crops at the MSP directly from the app.

Where to download the app?

This app has been developed by the Cotton Corporation of India Limited (CCI) for the 2025-26 procurement season. It is available for download on both the Google Play Store and Apple iOS. The government aims to ensure that farmers receive the full price of their produce in a timely and hassle-free manner through technology.

Learn about the login and verification process

Farmers must first download the ‘Kapas Kisan’ app. They can then log in to the ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ portal using an OTP from their registered mobile number. After logging in, farmers must verify their crop and land information. If the information entered in the app and portal matches, they can proceed with the sale process.

Booking a Slot to Sell Crops

After verifying their information, farmers can book a slot to sell their produce at the nearest Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) procurement center. This will eliminate the need for farmers to stand in line at the procurement center and ensure they receive the full benefits of the MSP scheme.

Consider Quality

A government spokesperson advised farmers to bring their produce only after it has been thoroughly dried. The moisture content of the cotton should not exceed 12%, as this could impact the price. The corporation has assured that the farmers who bring good quality cotton will have their crop purchased at the MSP rate.
