UAE Golden Visa 2025: The UAE has introduced a new version of the Golden Visa program for 2025, which no longer requires any investment requirements. Under this new policy, eligible applicants, including Indian citizens, can obtain long-term residency without investing in any property or business. The new “nomination-based visa policy” opens up opportunities for those who wish to permanently settle or stay in the UAE for a long time.

Lifelong residency without investment
Under the UAE’s new rules, applicants will now only need to pay a lump sum of AED 100,000, or approximately ₹2.33 million. After this payment, they will be issued a Golden Visa, allowing them to live, work, and settle in the UAE for a long time. When the Golden Visa was introduced in 2019, it was limited to investors, entrepreneurs, and elite professionals. But now it has been opened to ordinary citizens as well, significantly expanding its scope.
A Golden Opportunity for Indians
Rayad Kamal Ayub, Managing Director of the Riyad Group, described this scheme as a historic opportunity for Indians. He said that while previously, investment or commercial property was required to obtain a Golden Visa, the process has now become much simpler. This program has been launched as a pilot project for citizens of India and Bangladesh. Approximately 5,000 applications from Indians are expected in the first three months.

How to Apply
The UAE government has simplified and digitalized the entire process. Indian citizens can apply from their home country. Applications can be made through three channels: by visiting VASCO centers in India or Bangladesh, through Riyad Group authorized offices, or through the online portal and call center. After applications are submitted, Riyad Group and visa service provider VFS will jointly evaluate them and submit them to the UAE government for final approval. There is no need to travel to Dubai for this entire process.
