This case came to light on Wednesday, when this discrepancy was caught while checking the tickets in the list of weekly Ang Express going from Bhagalpur to Bengaluru. Railway officials immediately took out the reservation form and tried to contact the mobile number registered in it, but the call was not answered. Now the railway is investigating what is the relationship of the fourth passenger registered on this ticket with other passengers.

Agents suspected, railway alert

Officials believe that this act may be done by a local ticket agent or broker. Recently, the rules for Tatkal ticket booking were changed, and the booking time for agents was limited so that common passengers can easily avail the facility. But despite this, agents have started trying to book seats by adopting new tricks.
