: Gold and silver prices have risen today, May 25 (Monday). The fluctuating rates of gold have left people feeling confused. Immediately upon the opening of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) market, both gold and silver prices surged. In the previous session, silver had closed at ₹2.71 lakh per kilogram in the bullion market, while gold had closed at ₹1.64 lakh per 10 grams. On the MCX, however, both precious metals had closed with a decline.

According to data from the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), at the close of the market on Friday, the price of 24-carat gold was ₹1,58,120 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, the price of silver closed at ₹266,000 per kilogram. Continuous fluctuations are being observed in gold prices. Following the market’s closure on Saturday and Sunday, it has reopened today, Monday (May 25). So, let’s find out what the latest rates for gold and silver are today.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), as of 9:46 AM, 24-carat gold for June 5 delivery is trading at ₹159,251 per 10 grams. Compared to the previous week, gold prices have risen by ₹663 today. However, broadly speaking, there hasn’t been any significant change in gold rates. It is worth noting that in the futures market, gold had reached an all-time high of ₹180,779 per 10 grams on January 29. Consequently, gold is currently available at a significantly lower price compared to its peak level.

According to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), as of the market close last week, the price of 24-carat gold stood at ₹158,117 per 10 grams. The latest gold rates will be released by the IBJA on Monday, around 12:00 PM.

Silver Price (MCX)
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver for July 3rd delivery stood at ₹276,073 per kilogram as of 9:46 AM. Compared to last week, the price of silver has surged by ₹4,473.

According to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), silver prices had closed at ₹266,000 per kilogram at the end of trading last week. The latest silver rates will be released by the IBJA on Monday, around 12:00 PM.

It is worth noting that the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) will release the latest gold rates around 12:00 PM. Additionally, gold rates will be released at 5:00 PM. The IBJA releases rates twice a day; these rates do not include GST or making charges.

Gold and Silver Prices in the International Market
In international markets, spot gold settled at $4,522.32 per ounce after recording a slight decline. Meanwhile, silver fell by one per cent to stand at $75.87 per ounce.
