Rules are changing for these credit cards
State Bank of India is changing the rules of SBI Credit Cards and this will come into effect from the first of September. Under this, the benefits of Lifestyle Home Center SBI Card, Lifestyle Home Center SBI Card Select and Lifestyle Home Center SBI Card Prime holders have been announced to be reduced and SBI Reward Points available on some transactions are being abolished.
Now no reward points on such transactions
If we look at the rules changing from 1st September (Rule Change Form 1st September), then SBI Cards will no longer give any reward points on any transaction done on online gaming platforms through these credit cards. Not only this, if the customer makes any kind of government transaction or transaction for the use of government services, then no reward points will be given on such expenses. Apart from this, it has also been clarified by the bank in its notice that similar rule will also apply to merchant transactions.
Along with this, from next month itself, from 16 September 2025, all CPP (Card Protection Plan) SBI Card customers will be automatically transferred to the updated plan variant based on their respective renewal date. SBI Cards will inform about this through SMS/EMAIL 24 hours before the due date.
This service was discontinued last month
SBI Cards is constantly changing the rules already set for credit card holders. Earlier, major changes have been implemented in July and the current month of August. Let us tell you that under this, SBI Card had discontinued the complimentary air accident cover available on many of its cards. Which ranged from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore. These changes have been made for all SBI Elite, SBI Prime card users.
