Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced the PM Internship Scheme in the general budget for the financial year 2024-25, which will benefit about 1 crore youth in the next 5 years. In this program, each intern will be given a monthly allowance of Rs 5000.

How much allowance will be given
In the PM Internship Scheme, each intern will be given a monthly allowance of Rs 5000. Apart from this, a lump sum amount of Rs 6000 will be given separately by the government after 1 year. In this monthly allowance of Rs 5000, 10 percent i.e. Rs 500 will be given by the companies from their CSR fund, and Rs 4500 will be given by the government.

1 crore youth will get the benefit

In the first 2 years of the first phase, 30 lakh youth will be included in it, while about 70 lakh people will be added to it in the next 3 years.
Know, where will you get a job

Under the PM Internship Scheme, the youth are going to get the opportunity to do internship in about 500 top companies of the country. These companies are going to give 1 year of work experience to the youth by giving 10 percent assistance in this scheme under their CSR activity.
Know the eligibility
Any youth between the age of 21 to 24 years who has a 10th pass certificate can apply for the PM Internship Scheme.
Who cannot apply
Let us tell you that any person whose family member is in a government job, or whose family’s annual income is more than Rs 8 lakh or he himself is in any full-time employment, cannot apply for this scheme.
How to apply
To apply in PM Internship Scheme, first of all you have to go to its official portal and fill a form, where you can give information about your skills and interest. After which it will be decided based on your qualification where you can do internship.

Before applying in PM Internship Scheme, you have to keep some important documents ready with you, which include Aadhar card, email ID, mobile number, address proof, education details and PAN card.
