Ayushman Card Treatment Limit: The central government is running several welfare schemes to help the citizens of the country. One of these schemes is the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. This scheme has been launched especially for the poor and economically weaker sections of society, so that they can get good treatment at low cost. To avail of this scheme, people are given an Ayushman card. Through this card, they can avail themselves of free treatment facilities.
How many times can you get free treatment with the Ayushman Card?
For your information, this scheme was launched in 2018. Under the Ayushman Card scheme, the government provides free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh per year to a family. This amount is provided for the entire family, not just for one member.

For example, if a family has 4, 5, or 6 members, all members together can avail of free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in a year, but there is no fixed limit on the number of treatments. This means you can get treatment multiple times in a year. However, the condition is that the cost of treatment should be within the limit of Rs 5 lakh.
Who is eligible for the Ayushman Bharat Yojana?
Only those who meet the eligibility criteria set by the government can avail of the benefits of the Ayushman Yojana. Under this scheme, poor people, laborers, people from rural areas, and economically weaker families are eligible. Facilities available under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana
Under this scheme, free treatment facilities are available in many government and designated private hospitals across the country. Treatment for serious illnesses is also included under this scheme, such as major surgeries, orthopedic treatment, ICU charges, tests, medicines, and many facilities related to hospitalization are provided free of charge.
