National Food Security Act: The central and state governments are taking concrete steps to ensure that ration benefits reach eligible beneficiaries. A large number of people have registered their names on ration cards by providing false information. But this will no longer be the case. The state government is verifying ineligible individuals and removing them from the ration card list.

The Bihar government has also launched a major campaign. The Food and Consumer Protection Department is organising special camps for all ration cardholders until December 30th to complete the e-KYC process. E-KYC can be completed by the stipulated date. This process has been underway since December 17, 2025. Through e-KYC, the department is ensuring eligibility. The government aims to increase transparency.

The facility for e-KYC for ration cardholders is now available across the country. E-KYC can be done online in any state. The e-KYC process is also simple. Ration card beneficiaries do not need to worry about it. The simple process can be easily understood.
