How Training and Stipend Provide Assistance
Under the scheme, selected beneficiaries receive advanced training related to their trade. This training helps them prepare according to market demands. A daily stipend of Rs. 500 is provided during the training period, so that they do not have to worry about income while learning. This allows people to learn new skills and improve their work without financial pressure.

Toolkit Assistance Makes Work Easier
After the training, beneficiaries are given a toolkit assistance of up to Rs. 15,000 to purchase necessary tools for their work. This ensures that they do not have to depend on anyone for their initial expenses. Having the right and modern tools improves both the speed and quality of work, which directly impacts their earnings.

Loan Facility Up to Rs. 3 Lakhs
The biggest feature of the PM Vishwakarma Yojana is its loan facility. In the first phase, beneficiaries are given a loan of up to Rs. 1 lakh, which has to be repaid in 18 months. If loan installments are paid on time, an additional loan of up to βΉ2 lakh can be obtained in the second phase, for a period of 30 months. This brings the total loan amount available to βΉ3 lakh, at a low interest rate of approximately 5 percent.

Who is eligible for the scheme?

This scheme benefits individuals engaged in traditional occupations who wish to start or expand their own businesses. It includes a total of 18 trades, such as tailors, blacksmiths, cobblers, barbers, washermen, masons, stone carvers, sculptors, boat builders, basket and mat weavers, toy makers, locksmiths, and others. If an individual is engaged in one of these professions and meets the eligibility criteria, they can apply for this scheme.
