Gold & Silver Rates – March 18, 2026: Gold and silver prices fluctuate daily. Gold rates are constantly shifting—sometimes rising, and at other times falling. Today, March 18, a slight decline has been noted in the prices of both gold and silver. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), 999-purity gold is currently trading at ₹155,525 per 10 grams. On Tuesday, gold prices closed at ₹155,668 per 10 grams.

Today, gold has become cheaper by ₹143. Meanwhile, 999-purity silver—following a price drop—is now priced at ₹250,000 per kilogram; last week, its price had crossed the ₹260,000 mark. If you are considering purchasing gold, it is advisable to check the latest rates before buying.

Gold Rate Today:

According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), based on the rates released on the morning of March 18, 2026, Gold of 995 purity (i.e., 23-carat) is priced at ₹154,902 per 10 grams, while gold of 916 purity (i.e., 22-carat) is priced at ₹142,461 per 10 grams. Furthermore, 18-carat gold is currently trading at ₹142,461 per 10 grams. The previous closing price was ₹142,592 per 10 grams; today, it has become cheaper by ₹131. Additionally, 750-purity gold is priced at ₹116,644 per 10 grams, while 585-purity gold is priced at ₹90,982 per 10 grams.

Today’s Silver Rate:

According to the IBJA, the price of 1 kilogram of silver today is ₹250,163. Last Tuesday, it was recorded at ₹2,52,340 per kilogram. Today, silver prices have declined by ₹2,177 per kilogram.

It is worth noting that the prices released by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) are valid nationwide. The published rates do not include GST. However, rates are not released on Saturdays and Sundays.
