You can apply for an e-passport online by visiting the Seva Portal.
To do this, first go to the Passport Seva Online Portal and register yourself.
After registration, log in to the portal and click on “Apply for Fresh Passport / Re-issue of Passport.”
Keep in mind that if you’re applying for a passport for the first time, you’ll need to select the “Fresh Issuance” option.
Fill in the required information in the form and submit it. Incorrect information will prevent you from obtaining your passport.
After submitting the form, go to the “View Saved/Submitted Applications” section and click on “Pay and Schedule Appointment.” Making the online payment is crucial. This will book your appointment at the PSK, POPSK, or post office.
After submitting your application and completing the payment, you’ll receive a receipt containing your ARN, or appointment number. You’ll also receive an SMS to your registered number regarding your appointment details. Keep this information safe, as you’ll need to show it to the passport office.

You will need to visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or the Regional Passport Office on your appointment date with the original documents.
Then you will need to complete the physical verification process.
After this, you will need to select the verification option at your address. A passport van will come to your address and verify your documents.

You will then undergo police verification, and your e-passport will be delivered to your address within 15 to 20 days.
