Gas Subsidy Not Received in Bank Account? Check Reasons and Complaint Process Here

Many times, gas consumers’ subsidy is either transferred to someone else’s account or not credited to their account for months after the cylinder is refilled. If you’ve encountered this serious problem, there’s no need to panic. You can resolve this issue easily and transparently from the comfort of your home. Today, we’ll explain how you can file a complaint and get your money back if you haven’t received your gas subsidy.

What are the reasons for your gas subsidy being stopped

If you’ve booked a gas cylinder but the subsidy amount hasn’t been credited to your account, there could be several important reasons that need to be addressed immediately. The first and most important reason could be that your bank account isn’t linked to Aadhaar, as subsidy payments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) may be stopped without Aadhaar linking.

Another major reason is that consumers who haven’t completed their e-KYC process or whose e-KYC is incomplete don’t receive subsidies, so it’s essential to update it periodically. Furthermore, sometimes a bank account becomes inactive due to a lack of transactions for a long time, preventing any government transactions from taking place. Therefore, you should check your account’s activity.

Online Method to File a Complaint for Not Receiving Gas Subsidy

If your bank account is linked to Aadhaar and your e-KYC is complete, yet you’re still not receiving the subsidy, you can file a complaint in several effective ways. To file a complaint, first visit www.mylpg.in. On this website, click on the icon for your gas company (such as Indian Oil, HP Gas, or Bharat Gas).

Upon clicking, a new page will open where you’ll see the online feedback option. A new feedback page will open, where you’ll need to enter your registered mobile number and LPG ID to file a complaint related to your gas subsidy. After entering this information, all the details related to your gas subsidy will be displayed, allowing you to easily file a complaint. You can also file a complaint on pgportal.gov.in.

Toll-Free Number for Immediate Complaint

If the subsidy payment hasn’t been credited to your account even four days after booking the cylinder, you should immediately call the toll-free number 1800-2333-555. Upon calling this number, a customer service representative will register your complaint and ensure its resolution. Information regarding the resolution of the complaint and updates will be sent to your mobile number via SMS. This way, you can get your pending subsidy refunded in no time.
