Provident Fund is a trusted fund for private sector employees. Over time, the government has made several changes to this fund. One such change is the ability to check your PF balance through a missed call or message.
Many EPFO members do not know how much money is in their PF. Earlier, they had to download an app, register with their Universal Account Number (UAN), and then check the balance. This method was a bit complicated. Ordinary smartphone users often found it hard to check their account balance this way. To help them, EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation) has introduced this new, easy facility.

First, give a missed call to 9966044425 from the mobile number registered with your Provident Fund. A few seconds later, you will get a text message with all the information about your PF balance. This missed call is free of charge.
You can also check your PF balance by sending a text message. Send a message to 738299899 from your registered mobile number. In the message, type: EPFOHO {space} UAN {space} ENG. You will then receive all the details of your PF account on your mobile through a text message.
